DemandSideSolutions (DSS) focuses on technological and policy measures aimed at improving energy efficiency in the built environment.  DSS is an open forum for discussion and debate about the efficacy of technological “fixes” for reducing the world’s energy use and the forces (i.e., economic, political and societal) that drive both commercial and individual decision making.

Energy engineers have an important role to play in ensuring the proper technologies,  regulatory structures and business practices are in place so firms and individuals can make the most cost-effective energy-related decisions. This effort will benefit the end-user and society at large.
